We have taken extraordinary measures to ensure that your next experience at Smart Dental is a positive one. You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made these changes to help protect our patients and our team. You'll see that we've additionally completed some re-modeling and are transitioning towards electronic patient records and forms.

Before Your Visit

A face covering or face mask is required to enter our clinic and must be worn at all times except when instructed otherwise.

  • Complete the Covid-19 Screening Form (Mandatory Prior to all dental visits)
  • Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients and to allow for more vulnerable patients to be seen earlier in the day. This means you may be offered fewer appointment times.
  • Please do not arrive early to your appointment.
  • Wait in your car when you arrive and then contact us and we will call or text when we are ready for you.
  • Guests or family members will not be permitted in the clinic unless necessary for the treatment of very young children or special needs adult patients.
  • Payments for deductibles, co-payments and other estimated out-of-pocket expenses will be made in advance.
  • Where feasible, we will schedule future visits by phone, email or text.
  • A Virtual Dental Visit may be appropriate or necessary before we schedule a live visit.
  • We will take your temperature in our reception room.
  • You will be asked to use hand-sanitizer before entering the clinic.

During Your Visit

A face covering or face mask is required to enter our clinic and must be worn at all times except when instructed otherwise.

  • We will ask you the COVID-19 Screening Questions again.
  • You will be asked to keep your face covering on except when instructed otherwise.
  • You will be asked to complete an antibacterial pre-rinse with hydrogen peroxide for 30 seconds.
  • We will ask for your patience.
  • The new PPE requirements are substantial and make even the simplest of conversations more challenging. We may not be as chatty with you during your visit. Know that the same caring clinician is hiding under that face shield and respirator mask.

After Your Visit

A face covering or face mask is required to enter our clinic and must be worn at all times except when instructed otherwise.

  • After your appointment, you will be walked back out to the reception room and in most cases you will not stop by the front desk.
  • Where possible, next visits will be reserved by phone, email or text.
  • Please inform this office if you develop symptoms of Covid-19 or have a positive Covid-19 test within three weeks after any visits with our office.
